As an Information Management Strategist, you will be responsible for applying corporate and Mobility policies, internal processes, and best practices in the management of all physical, electronic, official, and transitory records in repositories. Primary duties include:
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in records and information management to facilitate workshops; provide one-on-one deskside support; create governance and reference materials for use by staff; work with Project Managers and corporate partners (for example: IT) to evaluate, test and implement new solutions.
  • Apply data and information governance processes, administer permissions and securities to the Network Drive, several SharePoint collaboration sites, and Content Server, generating audit reports and resolving issues of non-compliance.
  • Administers records management by applying the Corporate Records Classification Retention Schedule, FOIP principles and related classification, disposition, naming convention and retention procedures.
  • Develop mechanisms and processes for tracking program metrics, auditing, capturing feedback, and assessing program performance. Track and analyze program data to facilitate enhanced decision-making and risk mitigation for business unit and corporate partner leadership.
  • Provide support and guidance regarding the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) program. May include responding to FOIP requests, providing consultation for, and writing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), support the reporting and containment of privacy breaches and other issues management or risk management related protocols, and facilitating access & privacy best practices.
 
Qualifications 
  • A completed 1 year certificate in records management or a related field plus at least 7 years of progressive records management experience; OR
  • A completed 2 year diploma in records management or a related field plus at least 5 years of progressive records management experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) legislation.
  • Experience using Livelink, Physical Objects, MS SharePoint/Purview, Gimmal, or other electronic information management applications.
  • Knowledge in buildings and systems and related record types is an asset.
  • Project management or business analyst experience is an asset.
  • Success in this position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with a variety of interested parties, and the ability to prioritize and plan work effectively in a dynamic environment.
