As a Leader, Performance Reporting, in the Performance Measurement & Reporting division, you will provide leadership to a team that advances corporate wide reporting in the organization, including Progress Updates and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting. Further, you will work across the Corporate Planning and Performance (CPP) business unit and with partners to ensure the development, coordination, alignment, and integration with business planning, service improvement, economic analysis, and emerging initiatives. Primary duties include: 

  • Lead team members in the development and coordination of corporate reports, including the bi-annual Progress Update report as well as the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report.
  • Work with Council and Administration to evolve reporting within The City.
  • Research and write formal strategic reports and supporting material for the Executive Leadership Team and Council/Committees of Council.
  • Ensure the completion of projects from the scoping phase to implementation which includes but is not limited to the development of project charters, preparation and evaluation of Request for Proposals (RFPs), monitoring status, managing risk, and communicating with partners.
  • Present and communicate program, project, or initiative related materials to various audiences, including Council members, General Managers, the Executive Leadership Team, and senior leaders from across the organization.
  • Assess program, project or initiative methods, existing processes, tools, and templates, including seeking and addressing formal and informal partner feedback.
 
Qualifications 
  • A master's degree in a related field and at least 8 years of directly relevant experience in performance reporting, measurement, public policy analysis or related areas in large public sector organizations. 
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered. 
  • Formal or informal supervisory or leadership experience will be considered an asset. 
  • Experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments is essential.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills are required, with an established record of collaboration across diverse internal partner groups.
  • Strong communication skills; critical thinking; ability to work in a highly politicized environment; project team leadership; knowledge of public policy and management; and public and business acumen are required.

work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
