As the Human Resources Manager, Business Partnerships, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership on a broad range of Human Resource (HR) issues. Specific duties include:

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to ensure the team delivers exceptional service and strategic HR solutions.
  • Investigate grievances, conduct mediations, and work collaboratively with managers and employees to find effective resolutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on HR best practices and legal requirements to ensure compliance and drive continuous process improvement.
  • Provide strategic consultation on talent management, performance management, compensation and benefits, and other HR initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Monitor team workload, prioritize cases, and ensure timely and efficient resolution of HR matters.
  • Develop and deliver insightful reports on HR metrics and case trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Actively seek out new knowledge and best practices to ensure the HR team operates at the forefront of the field.
 
Qualifications 
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, and a minimum of 8 years of directly related experience.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience using PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) or equivalent Human Resources Information System is required. 
  • Previous leadership experience is required.
  • Experience in change management, performance management and employee engagement would also be considered as assets.
  • A Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, or a related professional designation will be considered an asset.
  • Experience in law enforcement and/or justice-based environment will be considered an asset.
  • Strong preference will be given to applicants with knowledge and experience interpreting collective agreements.
  • The successful applicant will be competent in change management, communication, leadership, managing resources, planning and prioritizing/visionary, relationship building, and strategic thinking.
 
Pre-employment Requirements 
  • An enhanced security clearance will be conducted. 
  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Compensation: Level F $94,168 - 144,228 per annum 
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day 
work week with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle. 
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
